I’m Tajana Dedić-Starović Ostić — a photographer, videographer, educator, editor, director, creative director, psychologist, and a woman with more than enough last names. And, of course, enough projects to occasionally wonder when I actually sleep.
Through my work, I develop and execute projects that span creative direction, photography, filming, and editing, collaborating with brands, designers, musicians, actors, and individuals to create visually distinctive and authentic stories.
My practice covers a wide range of formats - from portrait and fashion photography, to lifestyle and commercial campaigns, as well as video production and music videos. Alongside my project work, I’m also engaged in education and mentorship, with a focus on developing an authentic voice and creative process.
In my personal and artistic work, I explore themes of womanhood, the body, mental health, and social constructs, all through the lens of psychology, pop culture, disco balls, and glitter. If I had to describe my style in a few words, it would be: sugar, spice & everything nice — with a hint of existential crisis. Behind the eccentric shine and my occasionally unusual humor, there is often a raw, painful melancholy.
Although portraiture and self-portraiture are the starting points of my work, it continuously evolves through conceptual projects and multidisciplinary formats, including video and performance, while maintaining a recognizable blend of aesthetics and personal expression.
