I’m Tajana Dedić-Starović Ostić – a photographer, videographer, educator, editor, director, creative director, psychologist, and a woman with enough last names. And of course, with enough projects, I sometimes wonder when I actually sleep.
My work explores girlhood, female sexuality, and mental health, all through the lens of psychology, pop culture, disco balls, and glitter. If I had to describe my style in a few words, they would be: sugar, spice & everything nice. With a pinch of existential crisis. Behind that eccentric shine and my sometimes quirky humor, there’s often a painful raw melancholy.
Although portrait photography is my first love, right along with conceptual self-portraits, you can also find fashion and lifestyle photography and videography projects in my portfolio, as well as music videos.
About Me
Hi!
Over the past 10 years of working with numerous clients, as well as on independent artistic projects, I’ve achieved what every creative dreams of – merging my commercial work with my artistic expression. Behind me are many group exhibitions, 4 solo shows, and one short film. I’m a proud holder of a degree from the Faculty of Philosophy, majoring in Psychology. For several years, I worked as an art advisor in the independent gallery Art Klub Prostor, and now I’m part of the Vagon collective, Banja Luka, BiH.
I was born in Novi Sad (1993), but I chose to live and create in Banja Luka. If you’re looking for me, you can usually find me in my studio, Pink Room, where I’m most likely working on some new, quirky project or teaching others to do the same.
If I’m not there, I’m either in the kitchen or on a trip. When you call me, my creative disorganization will probably first tell you that I don’t have time, but don’t worry, in five minutes I’ll find a slot in my Google calendar just for you, because what is life without a little improvisation?
